Two Coatings, Two Jobs

Grease-resistant paper is treated so oil cannot soak through the fibres. Wax-coated paper adds a physical wax barrier on the surface, which also resists moisture. Both keep oil off your counter; only one handles condensation well.

When to Choose Grease-Resistant

Pick grease-resistant stock for dry or lightly oiled foods that need to breathe — pastries, bread, and baked goods that go soggy when steam is trapped.

When to Choose Wax-Coated

Pick wax-coated stock for wet or heavily oiled foods, and anything that has to survive a delivery bag. The wax barrier keeps both grease and moisture where they belong.
